Sadler and Company, Inc. has specialized in insuring residential trade contractors, home builders, remodelers and light commercial general contractors since 1946. We have affiliated ourselves in the marketplace with the leading insurance carriers that specialize in insuring trade contractors, home builders, remodelers and light commercial general contractors. Our knowledge of the proper classification, payroll, and audit rules allows us to provide advice to our clients that result in significant insurance savings every year.
John M. Sadler is President of SADLER Contractor Insurance (a division of Sadler & Company, Inc.). He designs and teaches certified master builder courses on insurance and risk management where builders learn how to lower their insurance cost by knowing the rules of the game.
John M. Sadler, President of protectingcontractors.com (a division of Sadler & Company, Inc.), graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of South Carolina in 1983 with degrees in Insurance and Finance. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1986. He has served on the board of directors of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia and is a published author and speaker on contractor insurance and risk management topics.
John M. Sadler´s father, John M. Sadler, started one of the first insurance programs in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to home builders. He was also elected to the SC Housing Hall of Fame for his efforts in providing custom designed insurance programs at affordable prices for home builders.
In addition to offering broad and competitive insurance products, we also provide strong risk management services and advice on how to prevent claims and how to contractually transfer the risk of loss through properly worded construction contracts. We provide a service called, “Before You Sign The Contract”, and will gladly review all construction contracts on your behalf and will make recommendations to minimize your risk.
Our Contractor Department service staff at Sadler & Company has received specialized training on the unique insurance and service needs of contractors and are eager to accommodate your needs. Our Contractor Department is equipped with state of the art automation and operates in a paperless environment, which helps to assure that your service needs are met in an efficient fashion. We gladly handle all certificate of insurance requests on the day they are received.
